It is the most basic requirement of human survival - clean drinking water. Yet, about 1 billion people do not have access to it. 80% live in sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Asia and Southern Asia. About 4,500 children die every day because they have no clean drinking water. This three-part series looks at the dire state of the common people from India to Indonesia to Philippines and the problems they face in getting clean drinking water. We tell the story from the river and its people and documents their struggles to just have a glass of clean water.
